trips to Indiana

Our trips to Indiana can be eventful...
A year ago we saw "the yellow submarine" on the road

He caught us all staring at him and taking his picture. I don't know if you can tell from the pic, but that's why he has that smile on his face.

The last two trips we broke down on the way there and one time on the way back.

July: On the there we blew a tire and on the way back we lost the belt to the alternator. It coudn't of happened any better though. We had just pulled off on an exit and our car died. The people behind us pushed our car over to a hotel and then the people behind them offered to go get a new belt and put it on for us. It took awhile but we were taken care of. They said if we had driven much further we would've ended up in a pretty bad side of town.

September: On the way there our car started overheating. We coudn't quite make it to an exit so we had to walk to try to find a gas station to get coolant. As we were walking a trucker gave us a thing of coolant but since we were close to an exit by that time we thought we would go ahead and get some water too. about 4 miles later we find that the nearby gas station is abandoned and the other two are closed for the evening. we had a long way to go to get back to our car and not much to show for it. on are way back at 3 am a nice lady and her nephew offer to give us a ride back to our car. So for the rest of the trip we had to slowly travel to Terre Haute by filling up on coolant or water as we drove. When we made it to Terre Haute our friend's husband and dad fixed our car. Turns out our heater hose had a gash in it. Then we finally made it to Indianapolis.

So we've had a lot of problems but every time God takes care of us so it's all good (: You do meet alot of interesting people this way.
