i'm realizing more and more how much discipline i need in my life. oddly enough it seems that it takes discipline for me to really do what i want to do. i have all these things i want to do but i never seem to have time to do what i really want. the reality is if i develop some discipline i will realize i really do have time. so anyways, i'm working on it. slowly but surely i'm developing some good habits in my life. for example i have finally mastered the skill of flossing on a daily basis to keep my teeth from eventually falling out due to week gums.

so in conclusion, hopefully sometime soon i will have some crafty posts [:

Hi Mary Jane!

Yes, (as you might be able to tell reading the comment from my mom) the package did arrive in Sterling, but it was after my mom left. I told her that I'll just get it next time she's over! :)

Sorry that it wasn't Fresh. I'm not sure what's going on, but I seriously looked for it for about 3 months, but never saw it. And then just Monday I was at the train station and thought I'd just check one more time and there it was! Maybe they shut down for awhile and refinanced the magazine. But I hope you live the one I sent you. I figured it had enough British recipes to fulfill your Brit needs.

The recipes may be a bit confusing. Your best bet is to try to get a kitchen scale (preferably a cheap digital)as most of the recipes call for grams and not cups, Tbsp, tsp, etc. Otherwise I recommend looking online for UK to US conversion charts.

Hope it works out! If you're confused by an ingredient or something like that, let me know and I'll try to help!

XOXO Hayley

Wrongful birth. Have you ever heard of that before? I hadn't either until I read this week about the mother in New Jersey that was awarded $28 million dollars for the wrongful birth of her son.

Why you ask.

See, the doctor was guilty of misdiagnosis when he failed to identify a rare genetic disorder, thus stripping the mother of her right to terminate the pregnancy. So instead of being killed, little Justin entered the world handicapped and the jury ruled someone must pay.

The mother said "this cannot happen to another person"

Yes it's true - in America is you are not going to be born "perfect" you must be terminated or someone is going to pay.

Way to go New Jersey , you must be proud.

Grrr...I'm not quite sure what happened, but I just tried to leave you a message and it didn't go through.

Anyway, to shorten my was-lengthy message, I'll keep an eye out for you. I can't think of any snacks right now, but I'm sure I'll come across some. What exactly are you looking for? Try Whole Foods' website...you might be able to find a recipe on there. Also check out health food stores since they usually carry dairy-free snacks. If you are looking for "ice cream", I recommend Tofutti Cuties. SOOOOOO GOOOOD!!!!

I miss you! How are you doing? XOXO

Mary Jane,
Its always nice to hear from you. I hope things are going well for you where ever you happen to be. Discipline is definatly something I am also lacking. But I work on it...sometimes...somewhat. hehe Anyway, thanks for the support darling. :)

Hi Mary Jane, last year sometime, myself and a friend actually started a group on the westside - unfortunately what happened was that we had people come for a few months, and then it ended up just being myself and my friend, so we canceled the group. Since then I haven't really don't much knitting or crochet, although I am planning on going to a new group that is meeting in Broad Ripple for the first time this Wednesday evening. Where on the westside do you live? If you'd like to come, too, I could pick you up - it's at the Broad Ripple Brewpub at 6:30. Let me know if you'd be interested!

I actually live very close to there myself! I live near the intersection of Country Club & 21st Street. I can pick you up at the church if you like.

It takes about half an hour to get to Broad Ripple, so I figure we should leave at 6. Don't worry about gas money - it's crazy cheap right now :) Just bring your knitting!

You can e-mail me directly at jenwil2@gmail.com.
